Some characters, such as Hunger Games protagonist Katniss Everdeen, do not face significant internal changes. It is critical for dynamic characters to have an entire arc devoted to explaining their internal changes. You don’t have to be concerned if your character is static if he or she is well-rounded. Flat characters are frequently static, but round characters can be as well. Flat characters are a subset of the human race that have very little complexity in their characterization. Although static characters can be confused with flat characters, their differences are fundamental. It is a character that does not undergo significant changes in the end of the story. Rowling’s Harry Potter book series is an excellent example of a dynamic protagonist. At the conclusion of a story, dynamic characters are frequently described as having a completely different personality than their original ones. ![]() Good writing, as well as the presence of well-developed characters, is extremely important for any good story. ![]() Dynamic characters are very different from their initial appearance at the end of the story. A static character, on the other hand, does not change throughout the story, whereas a dynamic character undergoes significant internal and/or external changes. ![]()
